Expert Solution

As it is specifically not mentioned, the factor of organisational change which I like to talk about is the decision making heirarchy.

Decision making heirarchy talks about the level of decentralisation the organisation is practicing. It terms out to be thr fact that how responsible and confidence you have within your employees allowing free flow of communication and decision making powers at the lowest level. Employees generally prefer an organisation having a decentralised structure as compared to a centralised one because it would make them feel empowered, skilled and develop a sense of growth and decision making ability within themselves to achieve personal goals.

Organisational issue might be the critical factor determining the employee loyalty because of the reason that employee are retained in an organisation only if the organisation succeeds in making them satisfied and happy. For example as discussed earlier if the company is practicing a decentralised structure in the company, that would make the employees happier because of the fact that their personal goals are being achieved due to empowerment and increase in ability. Thus, satisfied employees would be retained and that would term them being a loyal employee as well.

Being a programmer is a technical job. A programmer would expect a lot of organisational changes as a matter of fact to make him happy and retained in the organisation. The factors which would make him stay are:

1. Relevant Skills and Abilities are being provided to him to make him learn and grow into his feild.

2. Various programming languages are to be taught and trained to him like Java, PhP, SQL etc to make him develop his technical skills at all domains.

3. At last, a sense of accomplishment and appreciation should be provided to him to make him feel motivated in his work by providing job redesign etc to contribute higher in productivity.
