Crime in the United States continue to escalate what is at the root of it? ? What preventative solutions can reduce criminal activity?

People have looked into identificafionof the root cause of the increase in crime rates. One of the reasons, as identified has been the families and their breakdown. Policy makers are beginning to identify the family as the root cause. This has been acknowledged by a number of people, where, it is thought that children who are being born into the families of single parents, would move towards poverty or dependence for welfare. As a result, these children would be facing a number of problems.

The formation of criminals, in most of the cases is as a result of their background or the environment in which they have been brought up. Unless a person is able to identify the root causes, it could not be corrected.

It has been found that an increase in the violent crimes are attributed to the rise in the families that have been abandoned by their fathers. In the neighbourhoods where there are high crime rates, have had fathers abandoning their families. This has also included the rate of juvenile crime.

There has been an increase in hostility and aggression in the children who have had to live in compromised conditions, with a sense of frustration.

In order to prevent these conditions, it is important that the start should be at home, with the environment being provided such that there should not be development of any sort of negative emotions. Also, there should be a choice of peer group that should influence the person in the negative form.
