Change has been inevitable in the current modern global complex competing for the environment of managing the organization where every firm must adapt, adjust, revamp & adopt the change which fosters improvement, make the firms integrate the strengths by adopting advanced means of handling the management by being as a catalyst.

Every organization today must & should change various degrees, magnitude or complexities which they have to focus on investing billions of money into Research & development, managing the financial feasibility, technological feasibility, management integration, structuring to improve the critical success factors, & manage the internal as well external forces with challenges that demands with the situation to accept the change by all means & be the survival of the fittest into the current global market.

Current organizations have also been evolved to be as learned or learning organization due to the development into management practices as well rapid revolution into a global business scenario to which if the firm does not take the necessary steps to initiate the change to integrate the resources with continues learning or adopting change into thier firms they will become obsolete in coming days.

Having understood the above significance, evidence & relevance of change into the current industry, business, market & situation its important us to know what drives change to make the organization to undergo change management & also figure out the factors that associate the successful change management or cause to act like a failure.

-Following are the two key drivers that cause an organization to undergo the change management:

1) External Drivers of change management:

  • This type of driver is more familiar that leaders will often think of first in determining or identifying the cause of change as well the extent to which it may impact. These drivers can include the need to change to meet the changing demands or needs of various stakeholders of the firms, aligning the internal system to control/reduce the overhead costs & manage more flow of internal information through the integration of functions.
  • The key drivers here are macro challenges of the firm as potential possible threats connected to the environment, market requirements, business imperatives, or organizational imperatives which is significant to the firm to consider to manage change.

2) Internal Drivers of Change Management:

  • This type of driver is very difficult/hard to articulate or identify by the leaders of the firms which they are mainly connected with the internal structure of the organizational challenges or causes that impact change management.
  • The key drivers here are micro challenges of the firm which act as strengths of the firm reflects into the various drivers as cultural imperatives, leader & employee behaviors/mindset, integration of every resource to manage the change & thereby control the objective of the firm by all means.

-Following are the factors that enable change management to be successful or failure:

-Key Success factors of change management in the organization:

  • The organization formulating a clear strategy or vision that is supported by well-defined returns with holistic acceptance by various stakeholders will make the change management to be successful. Taking every approach of management as bottom-up, top-down, integrating the vision & thereby articulating the drivers to manage such change with utmost understanding or communication will make the change management to achieve its success.
  • Ensuring the strong leadership significance with proper understanding & engaging to build commitment from every support by all stakeholders reflects that the organization is accepting the change wholeheartedly with proper relevance in structuring, adapting, adjusting & revamping to adopt such change to make it successful at all levels.
  • Having a strong change team with necessary skills or capabilities, following well structured as a well-integrated approach, thereby analyzing, strategizing & initiating the change to make it a success with proper measurement & standardization helps to achieve the success of change management holistically.

-Key Failure factors of change management in the organization:

  • Change management often doest succeed easily there are many challenges the firm has to encounter if it doesn't then it leads to failure of such- the key failure factor for such is poor planning or setting up for organizational change where there are roles designed by the firm to engage in change management & resistance from the management at all levels.
  • Another factor that makes the change management to fail is inadequate support/significance of leadership to manage such change in the firm, lack of integration of resources to adapt the changes that match the vision or strategies of the organization & im-proper setting of priority focus on systems versus people which hampers the change management holistically.
  • The organization that is reluctant, resistant & not easily welcoming change due to inadequacies into organizational resources, skills & capabilities, lack of financial feasibility cause the organization to fail in change management addition to lack of leadership skills that prevail to initiate, integrate & communicate such change that is relevant.

To conclude, change management is ever-evolving into the current global management of the organization which every firm if they won't adopt it by understanding the relevance as well the significance of it with key drivers that causes it & also the success & failure factors will become obsolete in coming days of the complex competitive world. So every firm must act as a catalyst to manage the change with proper integration & to be the survival of fittest at all levels.
