In his White Man's Burden, Jordon raises question regarding the effect of the good steps of the U.S for the advancement of the civilization. He wants to say whether it is good or not.
The white people are the prime responsible for the advancement of civilization and education in the world. It appears that as if it is the responsibility of the white people to civilize the whole world and people with backwardness. In the poem it has been said that the white men are advanced. The poet criticizes the poem in both positive and negative ways. They work for their own profit but they also bring great advancement in the civilization.
In the poem there is the seed of colonization and indirect explanation of the good aspects of the imperialism. He claims that as if it is the burden of the white people to protect the world and to help the sufferers. There is also the criticism of the white people along with applause.
