Solutions

Expert Solution

There are many cases where ballistics technology systems help in solving the crime. One such case happened in Philadelphia. This instance is dated November 16th 2018, where a criminal Amin Ackridge was found to have stolen money and opened fire on victims repeatedly. Not until the fourth robbery, police could find any source or clue but in his last robbery, a 9mm Glock Handgun was found which got matched to spent bullets through the Federal Ballistics Database. The criminal was later sentenced to 178 years in prison. According to the department, the case could not have been solved if they could not help from the Ballistics database.

This case is a prime example of how Ballistics Technology System proved to be very effective in the conviction of the criminal. The large database that is stored by different law agencies and the departments of forensic as well as police departments helps in the clear and easy identification of the criminal.
