Describe and explain the historical significance of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The Cuban Missile Crisis or October Crisis was the first close and string nuclear threat to the world form two declared superpowers. This crisis made the world unstable for a long period of time and its impact created a clear strategic line between America and USSR.
The Cuban Missile Crisis was a pivotal moment in the cold war and it threatened the world to face nuclear destruction. This crisis creates a great impact on the world’s economy, politics, and policies.
The American blockade over Cuba made the situation worse, US forces were clearly ordered to invade Cuba if they see any unidentified activity while Soviet army and field commander was prepared to retaliate American invasion at any condition. For six days, the world was completely unstable and no one able to say about the next day.
This crisis clearly divided the world into two ideologies, American president Kennedy and Soviet leader Khrushchev decided to save the world form mutual destruction, because they experienced that the little mistake at this moment would be made the world lifeless.
