Nike is an american MNC. it deals in the production and sales of various products such as footwear, accessories, apperal etc. its goal and objective is to carry on innovation to help athletes to utilize their potntial. so the reserch question that can be freamed for achieving NIKE goal and objective is " what new features should be added to the product so that the need of the desired target market can be met. "because the target group of customers have different nationality, gender, age group and culture.
in order to solve the above problem the company needs to collect information about the target market users. such as the kind of sports activity they are involved in, the age group they belong to , the climatic condition of countries so that the product can be developed accordingly, the products needs customization or standard product can fullfill the need of different market etc.
reserch method is the method of identifying, selecting and analyzing information about the given topic. so in our example the reserch method needs to identify the target market which are athletes of different countries and age group. the in order to collect information we can conduct sample survery of the target group can collect the desired information and finally analyze it to reach the desired conclusion. we would prefer primary data as the target market is diversified and we need appropriate answer to the reserch question to reach to a particular conclusion. focussed group interview will best suit our reserch need because in this case a small demographically diversified group of people are interviewed to gather information.
