Given that the gig economy is becoming more prevalent and HR managers need to leverage this phenomenon, what training would be necessary for a gig worker to be most effective within an organization?
We all know that the gig economy is engaging and speeding up high. Gig workers refer to the independent contractors which are the online workers which work either virtually or outside from the organisation and are usually on temporary basis. Although, there is still the need to manage the gig workers to make out the best of their efforts and talent. Thus, necessary training provided to gig workers are:
1. E-learning: E learning refers to electronic learning. This kind of learning is only prevalent in the learning institutions but also in the working organisatons where gig or virtual employees could be trained by providing online guidance, classes and training to them so they could and work at their best.
2. Gaming and Video Knowledge: One unique way to make the employee learn and understand the concept of the organisation is to either use simulation or the video gaming concept. The video gaming concept makes small tasks designed as games that makes the employee learn facts and information regarding the organisation and also keeps him/her interested for working for the firm too.
3. Digital onboarding: Digital boards, login centers are designed where digital workplace is set up for the gig workers where they could easily communicate with their manager, share problems, ask questions and the manager also review their work on online boards to check whether they are using the training and working according to the standards or not.
