How do you know if the company is acting ethically? What measurement or assessment would you use? Whose standard of ethics would you use?
The business has to abide by the 4 ethical ways in its regular business to make it ethical in its actions:
1. Fair-trade. One way to know that the clothes you are buying were made ethically is by Fair-trade certification.
2. Global Organic Textile Standard. Very simply GOTS certification means that textiles are composed of a minimum of 70% organic fibers
3. Self-Enforced Codes or Inspections on Trade and Environmental Issues.
4. Transparency.
The business has to show the ethical discourse in all its applications from its contents to work.
· The standards to be used in the check the business ethical behavior would be not only in its contents but also for the stakeholders and suppliers from every part of the globe.
· The business has to check its communication and pages that it publish to show its ethical contents on its policy page.
· The ethical treatment as per the laws of the land in wages and healthcare for the employees, supply chain transparency along with the working conditions for all employees in the house as well as the supplier’s side.
· Certification from the competent authority for the brand certification
· Follow the business and process to make people and policies known by all and equal employment chances in the business with the best of protection gears at work.
