a. The most important thing in this situation is to manage the shortness of breath. Then once the patient is settled, bring the patient into a comfortable zone. Even though the daughter is very loving and set boundaries for her mother, the nurse should encourage her to ventilate her feelings and support her.

Then based on the data obtained set short term and long term goal. Then determine the nursing interventions to meet these goals.
