What policies might a nursing home institute to minimize the chances that its residents will develop "institutionalism"? Why are such policies relatively uncommon?

Elderly people are the guide and mentor of the future geneartion. It is our responsibility to add happiness, peace and sense of being loved and cared for.
Nursing homes provides residencial care to the elder people and the disabled who have no one to care for them . They provide various services like nursing care, supervision , meal services,assisting with the daily activities , rehabilitation, physical, speech an occupation therapy. It is the duty of the society and community as a whole to provide the aged with a comfortable lifestyle , filled with love , belongingness,care, respect, understand and make them feel like they are home.
Most of the nursing homes have a strict routine, rules and regulation that must be followed by the residence for example, meal time, sleeping time, bathing time, naptime and so on. The elderly are not left with much decision to make . elderly feel like they dt habe freedom, liberty and happiness. Therefore policies must be develop inorder to mininimize institutionalism
