1. A system is a cohesive conglomeration of interrelated and interdependent parts that is either natural or man-made. This view of system is also applicable to family dynamics. Like system, family is also composed of interrelated and interdependent parts. Here from family standpoint, interdependent and interrelated parts of family are its members which include parents, children and Grandparents etc. In this sense, Family dynamics are the patterns of relating, or interactions, between family members. Each family system and its dynamics are unique, although there are some common patterns.
According to Bowen, a family is a system in which each member had a role to play and rules to respect. Members of the system are expected to respond to each other in a certain way according to their role, which is determined by relationship agreements.
2. Regardless of age, gender, and culture, studies show children of divorced parents experience increased psychological problems. Studies have found depression and anxiety rates are higher in children from divorced parents. Children of divorced parents often are more aggressive toward their parents and teachers. Depression, learning difficulties and problems getting along with their peers are often perceived. The impact of of divorce on children is negative. The adverse effects of divorce can be long-lasting on children and may impact their own relationships. Studies have shown that in the US, the daughters of divorced parents have a 60% higher divorce rate than those of non-divorced parents. According to a Research conducted while comparing children of divorced parents with that of non divorced parents, it was found that children from divorced family background suffer academically. They experience higher level of behavioural problems. Teens from divorced home are much more likely to engage in criminal activities, drug and alcohol use as well as sexual intercourse than are those from intact families.
