Formulate workplace scenario dealing with the following topics sexual harassment. Recommend corrective action for this scenario, so they fall in line with the current statutes and laws. Make sure to provide a scenario for topic and provide a recommendation. The scenario and recommendation should be a minimum of 300 words in length.

Workplace scenarios dealing with sexual harassment-

The local delivery driver comes into the office every other day with deliveries. The driver starts liking the new receptionist who is signing for the delivery packages. The driver asks her once out but receptionist is not interest in him and says no. after this incident the driver starts regularly asking receptionist for a date with him. The driver takes it upon himself and decided to impress the receptionist. So, he starts bringing candies, flowers, cards, small gifts, etc once a week just for the receptionist. The receptionist is not interest at all in him. She always refuses to his gifts and never responds positively to his comments. Then he started complimenting her about her attire and physical appearance on regular basis and sometimes tries to touch her without her consent.

In this scenario if the receptionist tells management or a supervisor notices the activity of the driver, then the company has an obligation to act and take action against him because this is a case of sexual harassment. Commenting someone about her physical appearance, asking for a date on regular basis after the offer being rejected by the other person, try to touch someone inappropriately are some of the examples of sexual harassment which are present in this workplace scenario.

Recommendations-

1. Supervisor or other male employee of the company becomes the substitute for the receptionist when the driver comes.

2. Manager or supervisor can talk to the driver and make clear that his amorous efforts are not like by the receptionist and also by company

3. If he not stop then the superior report the matter to the top level management

4. Supervisor can request for a new driver from the delivery company

5. If after that, driver not understands then take legal action against him will be appropriate.
