Empowerment is key to working with our clients. Somewhat ironically, as social workers, we also recognize that people often find themselves in very difficult situations due to factors that are completely out of their control. How can we both show empathy for clients who are in situations they couldn’t have prevented and empower them to feel like they have significant control over their own lives

Advantages of empowerment :-

* Confidence boost - firstly, we have to talk to the clients about his/ her achievements and growth through their skills and experiences to boast their confidence level. Then they will feel appreciated and this brought strength in them to move forward. It makes them motivated and prepares them to face the challenges.

* Thinking ability - They are having negative thoughts because of the present difficulties. So it is important to boast their thinking ability and skills, then they are going think positively about the present situations and they get ready to face the challenges.

* Continuous hardwork - We have to tell them about the things on which they have control. They are only responsible for their own actions and they have only control on their own actions. Future situation can be both good or bad. They only have to do hardwork with having a lot of patience. They should keep working on their weaknesses to impove their abilities. Not to be bothered for the upcoming good and bad situations.
