Expert Solution

Research works have shown that it is the integral emotions that's work at both the conscious and non-conscious levels of the mind that enables us to make decisions irrespective of its logic. For example, Tim is a guy who earns very little money for the living of his family. Let us imagine that he has a sister whom he is deeply attached to and is in need of money. Although lending money to his sister could up his family into the spending of limited money for home expenses, he takes the decision in favor of the love and care he keeps for his sister and would give her money for support. Here, although the decision is not logical it is the integral emotion working that has made the brain take decisions against the logic.David Hume did mention in his research works that integral emotions are infact slaves of passion and would influence decision in favour of passion which in the case explained here is the love for his sister..
