2. What knowledge and skills are needed to implement sophisticated, appropriate and workable solutions to the complex global problems facing the world today?
3. What interdisciplinary perspectives would help identify innovative and non-obvious solutions?
4. What insights can you articulate, based your culture and other cultures with which you are familiar, to help understand your world view and enable greater civic engagement?
5. What is your position on the right thing(s) to do?
6. Comment on another member's comment that is related to your analysis.
1.Stakeholders
The stakeholders are individuals or a group of individuals who are affected by your project or have an interest in it.
It is very important to identify stakeholders at the beginning of the project and develop a strategy to manage them and their requirements.
This will help you to complete the project with least obstruction because getting them involved with your project will render support you need it.
Positive Stakeholders and Negative Stakeholders
The stakeholders can be positive or negative.
Positive stakeholders sees the project’s positive side and benefits from its success.
Positive stakeholders help the project management team to complete the project successfully.
Negative stakeholders see the outcome and may be negatively impacted by the project or its outcome.
Negative stakeholders are less likely to contribute to the success of the project.
Many professionals believes that competitors are also negative stakeholders as your project affects them as well.
But the competitors are not negative stakeholders because you have to manage your stakeholders proactively in order to complete the project successfully.
2.The knowledge and skills that are needed to implement sophisticated, appropriate and workable solutions to the complex global problems facing the world today are-
(i) Presence of good ethical engineers that will speak up when they see a problem, regardless of what the outcome might be.
(ii) Availability of enough funds to complete a job correctly. If there isn’t enough money to complete a job than there will be delay in project completion.
(iii) Safety regulations, international law and environmental science are needed to apply as an appropriate and workable solutions .
(iv) Most people know what is right but it is very hard to demand what is right by law without the help of all sides of the issue.
(v) Safety knowledge and skills need to be implemented by those who take over the plant in order to implement workable solutions, as well as someone to oversee that those standards are being followed
3. An interdisciplinary perspectives would help identify innovative and non-obvious solutions are-
By mapping out the social and decision process when starting a new project.
For example, laying out the good and bad outcomes and who can be affected by these negative outcomes.
As ethical engineers it is very important to complete the job well while keeping everyone around safe.
The study of cultural anthropology which is the study of human societies and cultures and their development will help to identify what the people need and what they are accustomed to.
Perspectives are needed from engineers in order to make sure that measures being taken are ethical, safe and legal.
4.The insights I articulate, based your culture and other cultures with which you are familiar, to help understand your world view and enable greater civic engagement are-
On my own insight, it is better for the corporations to take care for their employees and the environment around their businesses.
It may cost little more money to ensure regulations are met, but the new business will eventually regain that money and continue to earn more money afterwards.
The another interdisciplinary perspective are world travelers which helps to provide an insight on historical landmarks, language or dialects spoken in a specific are.
Based on my culture and other cultures that I am familiar with, educating people on what is going on outside their home, I believe it will provide the largest engagement.
With individuals seeing my passion for civic engagement, I will also encourage others to engage in it as well.
