Current social issues faced by the Canadian people in general are as follows-

1-) Lack of proper healthcare - Canada has one of the finest health care system in the world and they are provided with health care insurance and many perks. But it is considered that public health care is not as good as the private health care where wealthy peope get more advanced and sophisticated service in the private clinics and hospitals. Govt has also been scaling up premium which they pay for their Health care insurance but do not provide better medical care. In this pandemic of Covid 19 , Their have been shortage of beds and personal protection kits for the treatment of patients.

2-) Increase in house prices and rent - Canada has a shortage of low priced homes and flats . Their house rates and rent have been striking high in prices and people actually struggle to afford housing. This is due to the fact that local and foreign investors , invest mainly in land and shortage of supply makes the prices go up. In this pandemic situation also, many people have housing loans and the banks are not ready to wave off their installments as a result many people can loose their homes and be homeless.

3-) Inequality in distribution of wealth - Canada also has a high inequality of distribution of wealth where most of the Money is with the upper class and the middle and lower class suffers. This creates disbalance in soceity and the economy suffers.

4-) Discrimination - Their is Discrimination between the local people and foreigners where first preference is given to the local people and people immigrated from other cities or countries are looked down upon. In this current situation also, Local people are given better treatment than the immigrants and their is a continuous pressure thay they may be asked to leave the country.

Social issues in my community -

1-) Gender Discrimination - Men are termed more superior than women and often they are being discriminated. They are looked down upon and they it is believed that they are not able to take good decisions.

2-) Child labour - In our community , children are allowed to work in factories for a minimum wage. This is a crucial issue where they are exploited upon.

3-) Superstition - People are too Superstitious and believe in people who fraud them in the name of god. They do not believe in logic and gets scammed easily.

4-) Lack of proper education system - The education system is very orthodox where new innovations are not given emphasis and they are just accustomed to focus on academics rather than a all-round development.

The important one is Gender Discrimination. Women are being criticized upon at every level. This male dominant soceity does not respect to the women and often gets violent them . This has to stopped where women should be free and should get respect in the society. They should be judged by their intellect and can do whatever men does. This issue is impacting in small and medium businesses where womendo not have the full freedom. They close their business before at night as it's not considered safe and they cannot travel alone for business purposes as a result they often loose out yhe the opportunity to grow.
