Oedipus The king was a iconic and excellent example of a tragedy . Oedipus considered as perfect tragedy . A person who killed his father and married his mother .Later he curse himself and fate for it.A good tragedy will elicit pity and fears on viewer or reader mind .this drama also not except from it. At the surface of the drama , there was tone of diilusiomment.Through out the play , we have findout that Oedipus , the protagonist , of this Greek tragedy is tested by life in diffrent way of tragic moments .Ordipus is self confident , strong will, intelligent but unfortunately these traits which brings about tragic discovery .Odipus derived the pride by his own heroic talents but ultimately it ruins himself. So a person who have loss all stradom , and own values , is really to acept ownself which exactly happened with Oedipus. So undoubtedly we can say it is remarkable and excellent example of tragedy .
