Leana Wen in her video told thta how doctors were hesitant and reluctant to share their peraonal details with their patients. But in medicine having a trust is a must, the patient should be able to make informed choices about his doctors or for that matter about the treatment his going to get. In her talk she also discused how doctors were not willing to disclose any detail about the patient and trying to hide it from the patient's relatives as they were afraid of getting sued by their wrong treatment but in this it is clear, that no patient could trust a doctor who isn't vocal or honest about his situation. A patient shoud be aware of the source of income of doctors,he should be aware of how the doctor is going about his treatment whether his doing a particular treatment or his benefit or for just the sake of making money. The doctors should not hide behind their white coats but should reveal their personal details(necessary for the patient) so that he can make informed choice and have trust in his doctor. It is a two way thing.
