The splints must be used for maintaining proper positioning.

It helps to maintain circulation and to retain joint range of motion.
passive range of motion exercises is performed with out the assistance of client.
Active exercise is performed with the active involvement of the client.
In quadriplegia the client is not able to perform activities by himself.

They must provide care for the client.
The position of client should be changed in order to prevent bedsore.
