Question: How would British Airlines or how did they recover the trust of their passengers and after that major hack? Did this issue lead to any financial loss? Why were they not prepared to combat this earlier on?

The hack has caused the people to compromise their data and those people has suffered. British Airline was trusted by people but this has changed the entire perspective of people towards the airlline. Some of the people are even scared to travel in the British airlines. This has in obvious caused some financial loss to the Airlines though but they can regain the trust of people and get back to normal but it will definitely take time. The British Airlines needs to introduce various security methods of cyber security in order to ensure the safety of data of people travelling through the Airlines. The British Airlines needs to apologize for the loss and ensure people about the new security features by advertising about it. They were not prepared earlier as the smartphones were evolving rapidly and there were new features were being introduced everyday and there were attackers who were ready to break that feature. So the Airlines wasn't that prepared to face such an issue.
