According to Self-Determination Theory, the managers can motivate employees as explained below:
1. The manager would make the employees to understand their responsibilities and engage with them, so that it focuses them to be highly motivated to push and achieve the goals as a success.
2. The manager motivates the employees through rewards and recognition and that is called as extrinsic motivation, where the employees get highly motivated to complete the assigned tasks.
3. The manager ensure the employees to be independent in the workplace and that is called as intrinsic motivation, where the employees would be happy and work to complete the project on time.
4. The manager would provide training to the employees and that motivate the employees to be more innovative in the work place as that determines their own self determination to complete their tasks.
5. The manager will always have a good communication with the employees and motivate them to involve in social groups as that encourage the employees to be more participative.
