Expert Solution

Everyone likes to get acknowledged for their hardwork and feel a sense of achievement when they are awarded for the same. One such way to acknowledge the hardwork of employees is to give them monetary rewards. Monetary rewards are a great way to motivate the employees to keep improving their performance. They feel connected to the organisation. They feel valued by the organisation. They feel that their efforts are finally being paid off.

Another aspect of giving monetary rewards is that it makes the relationship between the employee and the organisation stronger. The employees sense that the organisation really cares for him and he feels more connected to the organisation. Moreover, a little more money does no harm to anyone. Moentary rewards/ incentives helps the employees in fulfilling the desires and needs of his own as well as his family. It creates a feeling of being oblidged to the employer, and thus the employee starts respecting and appreciating his employer more than before. However, in some cases, non-monetary rewards also play the same role to some extent.
