“As a lender, I should be able to advertise however I wish without limits.” Discuss why this statement is outside of current fair lending practice and why it should be.

Solutions

Expert Solution

This statement is totally inappropriate and out of the current fair lending practice as prescribed. By showing any type of advertisement claiming that being a lender, I can show whatever type of advertisements I want, this thing directly talks about discrimination. By showing any type of advertisement, you may also include the aspects of discrimination where you are encouraging the discouragement of all the people to take part of your lending process. Thie discouragemwnt is reviewed as violation of the policies and framwork provided in the fair lending audit. Fair lending is a systematic combination of rules that are used together to make a determination of how the banks avoids unintentional and overt discrimination. Using any kind of advertisement may make some people or class believe that you are not encouraging them to be a part and thus you are not providing equal opportunity which is in direct contrast for what of the policies are provided under the fair lending practice.
