Many studies have shown that violent video programs can increase aggressive thought and behaviours both in the long and short term. There are various factors involved for a person to engage in violence.There is also a correlation between the playing violent video games and aggressive behaviour. But also there is no clear evidence regarding violent TV programmes and delinquent behaviour occurring in the future. Even though violent movies may be a contributing factor, they may not have much impact compared to other factors. Children who were abused are likely to show aggressive behaviours when they are older. Being born in dysfunctional family or to a teen mother may also pose a risk factor. Not being loved by parents and rejected at school could also be other risk factors for teen violence. Moreover, In a recent study, it was found that watching violent movies did not make people aggressive.
