What are they? |
They provide quality care services for the patients by doing several tasks like they collect digital medical information or traditional medical information, then, they analyze such medical information or patient data, they will protect such medical information data. Hence, HIM professional usually responsible for analyzing and securing medical data. |
Why are they important? |
They are important as health information of the patient should be taken care in a way that could help physician and patient for future use and for decision making purpose. Again, all such medical data or health care information should be taken care of, as such data could be misused and that could bring significant breach in the health care system. hence, they work on maintaining medical data security, medical data confidentiality and medical data integrity. |
How are they implemented? |
First they are trained in latest technology applications; they will understand how health care system works and how patients do interaction within the system and with the physicians and other medical staffs. They connect to various health care organizational functions like administrative functions, operational functions and clinical functions. They build classifications for diseases, treatments and build standardization within the system.
