Explain Role of 9/11 and the adaption failure of U.S Intelligence Agencies ?
The twin tower of America was brought down on September 11, 2001. And around 2,996 people were killed and more than 6,000 others injured. It was the biggest terrorist attack in America as well as in world. The attack was carried by terrorist group ‘al-Qaida’. And the leader was Osama Bin Laden, who was the man behind this attack.
Motive behind attack.
Support of Israel by United States
Western Immorality
Sanctions imposed against Iraq
Presence of US military in Saudi Arabia.
However US intelligence failed to spot the attack and which lead to biggest massacre in history.
The main reason which caused the attack was agency failure and coordination
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and other U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies had pieces of information before the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks that, had they been shared, might have led to the unraveling of Al Qaeda's plot. For example, in July 2001, an FBI agent in Phoenix, Arizona, wrote a memo to bureau executives in Washington warning of the "possibility of a coordinated effort by Usama Bin Ladin” to train terrorists in U.S. flight schools. No one in the FBI’s Osama bin Laden or Radical Fundamentalist unit saw the field agent’s memo until after 9/11
