  • The politics of the US takes place mainly under a two-party system. Two major political parties, the Democratic and Republican parties, dominate the political scene of the US. The presidency usually alternates between the two political parties. However, there are other minority political parties. The minority parties are rarely given recognition. In very rare instances do the minority parties to form the government.
  • In USA the form of government is Presidential. The President is the executive head of the country and directly elected by the people. There is absolute separation of powers among the legislature ie the Congress consisting of the Senate and the House of Representatives, the executive ie the President and the Supreme Court of the USA. The USA has a written constitution for its administration.
  • The United States of America is not, in fact, a true democracy. In a democracy, the people are the government. Today, citizens elect people to run the government for them. The people they elect do not, for the most part, run the country in the interest of the people; they run it in the interest of themselves. Citizens are led to believe that they must put their trust in these people. The People of America, do not have the power to create laws in their interest. This causes an imbalance of power in the government.
  • Its more Republican.Republics are parliamentary dictatorships with periodic electoral excuses. The people are not allowed to vote directly on the issues that concern them because they are deemed immature and irresponsible. Strangely, such characterizations never come up when trying to secure their vote in electing their representative.
