Cells are the functional unit of an organism. Though the genome of all the cells (functional unit of the body or life) are same but the expression of particular set of genes differ from one tissue to other. For example: the cells present in the liver needs higher energy because this organ plays a pivotal role in sustaining the life by detoxifying the toxins. So, cells in the liver or any other organ that performs major function in the body needs more energy. This forms the reason behind the varied expression of genes in the cells forming different tissues or organs.
We are very well familiar with the fact that bone is a living tissue in which bone breakage and bone formation occurs to maintain the healthy bone. Bone comprised of two cells: Osteoclasts (bone degrading cells) and Osteoblasts (bone forming cells). Bone remodeling is a dynamic process in which osteoclasts degrades the bone and to form the bone osteoblasts come into play. So, Homeostatic balance between these cells is necessary for the maintaining the healthy bone.
