Explain each question based on project management and The Critical-Chain Approach.
1. How time is wasted in Management of Projects:
Procrastination: Suppose you as a manager called a meeting with your team and other members, but you did't able to reach or attend the meeting. You posponded it for later and again missed. This is called as Procrastination which is a time loss during any working project.
Delegation: This indicates taking all decisions by yourself ( As a project manager )without delegating to your team members or juniors which lead to time loss even for small decision and time loss also occur , if concern is not available for providing decisions.
Resource Availability : During the start of the project its assumed that all the required resources are available, but in actual is not , non availability of required resources at perticular instant leads to a huge delay in the project work.
Early Task Completion: If a team member completed his/her task early , still have to wait for other as the next precedding process or work is not completed.
2. Distinguish between project and feeder buffers:
Project Buffer : This the extra time or say tolerence which is kept at last stage for project completion as any delay in the project will consume this buffer time and do not effect the project completion date.
Feeder Buffer: This is the extra time or buffer which included between the process or say between the process in the critical chain. if an process or feeding in the critical chain is delayed, The feeder buffer will be consumed and thus which will not effect the overall critical chain performance.
3.Why are buffers not the same as slack:
Slack : Slack is the difference between the Planned time of completion of the project and the actual time of the completion of the project.
Buffers: It is the extra time alloted either at the end of the critical chain or during feeding process in the critical chain process.
