A. Show the direction of replication of the new strands and explain what the lagging and leading strands are.
B. Explain how this is semiconservative replication. Are the new strands identical to the original segment of DNA?

Leading stand , here DNA is synthesized in a single stretch , towards the replication fork
Lagging strand - DNA is synthsized away to replication form in form of short fragments.
2) replication is semicoservative in nature. During replication two molecules of DNA are synthesized. In each molecules one stand is parental stand and other one is newly synthsized one. So 50 % of DNA is conservative while 50% is newly synthsized. So this type of replication is known as semi conservative type replication. Bith the stand has been marked in attached diagram above.
