Designers of consumer products argue that to understand what customers really need, you have to do more than listen to what they say. You have to observe what they do. Why do you think there is often a gap between what people say and what they do?
There is a gap between what people say and what people do because there is a dynamism in the environment and there is a changing demand of the customer so customers can not always stay true to his words and his demand will be changing according to the price and other factors in the market which will be offering him with quality and cost effectiveness so there is always a gap between what people say and what people do in the market.
it is often advocated that customers needed to be heard and one has to observe their behaviour in order to target those customers and make products according to the need of those customers so it can be said that these customers are the lifeline of the organisations organisation should always be trying to target this customer through proper management strategies and they should be trying to provide them with maximum satisfaction by hearing their needs and making the products according to their customised demand and these products will be helpful in able to retain the existing customer in the long period of time. it is often said that there is a gap between what people will say and what people will do, so a business should be trying to capitalise of on that gap.
