Expert Solution

1. Controlling Images could be understood as what a person is and who they are. These controlling images would be identifying what is acceptable about a person and what is not acceptable about a person. These would be exerting their effect on how a person is supposed to act and how they are allowed to construct relationships. As a result of these controlling images formed within the society, people tend to be getting restricted. They act in accordance to what is expected of them from the society and people tend to adhere to these.

a common racial stereotype that is promoted in the media is that of the deviants and the juvenile delinquents. More often than not it has been portrayed in the media that the antagonist or the deviants in a society are people of color. They are either the black Americans or the Mexicans or from some other ethnicity. More often then not all the protagonists are white Americans. And this gets stereotyped in the society.
