Australia’s unprecedented bushfire is termed as an environmental tragedy. The main cause of this tragedy mainly centered on the human caused climate change. As the word or Prime Minister of Australia, human caused climate change are negatively influenced the whole atmosphere and it was resulted in bushfire. But the media and other people were believed that there is no connection between the climate change and bushfire. They concentrated their ideas on the amount of hazard reduction burning. Bushfire experts said that hazard reduction burning is a good way to control the behavior of fires. And they added that changing climate has an influence in the bushfire in Australia.
According to Australia, 2019 was the hottest year with the average temperatures of 1.52C above the average of 1961-1990. Their second hottest year was 2013 followed by 2005, 2018 and 2017. In 2019 Australia experienced as the driest year with the rainfall of 40% less than average based on the past records. Scientists have already detected a trend toward more dangerous fire weather in Australia. That trend continued in 2019, which has the riskiest year for bushfires on a record going back to1950.
A study of Queensland historic 2018 bushfire season found the extreme temperature that coincided with the fires were four times more likely because of human caused climate change. Human caused climate change has resulted in more dangerous conditions during summer and an earlier start to the fire season, particularly in parts of southern and eastern of Australia. These trends will be resulted in to the uncontrollable fire in Australia.
Climate studies shows that conditions in Australia for extreme bushfires will only get worse as more greenhouse gases are added to the atmosphere. Australia must take stronger action as part of the worldwide commitment to limit global warming to 1.5C above the long term average to reduce the worst impacts of climate change.
