. A school is interested to see if building a new and
bigger library would be something students would want, as the
current library is very small and has limited seating. Over the
past 5 yrs there are an averaged of µ=100 students per day
that visit the library but the standard deviation is unknown. The
student population from out of town has increased and therefore the
researcher feels it is likely that more students are frequenting
the library to study and socialize. She takes a sample of different
days and times over the course of one month to try to see the
activity level of students visiting the library typically. The
current sample is M=125 with a standard deviation of S=10. n=100
