When discussing the topic of "leading and managing projects" you will see a bigger delta in how Agile projects and Predictive handle conflict. In a Predictive project, people management is performed using a control and direct manner. Because of this style, you are likely to see conflict and team dysfunction will be resolved through a top-down manner. In an Agile project, conflict and dysfunction is to be resolved within the team with minimal influence from the project lead (Scrum Master, Coach, etc.). How would you suggest bringing parts of the Agile method into a Predictive project to handle conflict?

Expert Solution

Answer:- Agile methodologies are very flexible and mostly used where the demands and requirements of the clients often change. Because of its flexibility, agile is considered a faster approach when compared to Predictive project management.

In order to handle conflict, I would implement the agile method into a predictive project in the following ways:-

1) While planning the predictive project, make sure to indulge team members and assign their roles and responsibilities so that the teams are self-organizing and work in unison to complete the project successfully.

2) The team involved in making the project plan should make faster decisions and progress it faster.

3) The communication between the team members should be transparent and be able to communicate widely and frequently.

4) Non Centralized decision making should be performed.

5) Try to involve the customer at each stage so that if any error is there then it can be improved.

In this way, I would implement agile thinking into the predictive project.

The topic is learning. As you will see, there are three main types of learning--classical conditioning, where we end up pairing something that usually elicits a behavior with something that usually doesn't--if we do that enough, the thing that doesn't usually elicit the behavior will, operant conditioning, where we are reinforced or punished for engaging in a behavior so that behavior is either strengthened or weakened; and social learning, where we learn by watching others. Apply one of these theories...
