Golgi appratus does the targeting of all secreatory protein to their final destination. So any mutation in Golgi aparatus leads to severe nonfunctionality of different organ including neuron which leads to Parkinson disease and Alzimer disease.

In Alzimer disease it's been notice that the accumulation of harmful amyloid protein which cause ultimetly plaque on neuron or degrade the neuron cells and hence leads to loss of memory and other neurological diseases.

While in case of Parkinson's disease there is mutation in several genes which regulates antrigrade and reterigrade movt and hence protein distribution is not there and leads to accumulation of protein alpha sunuclein which affectes brain. Due to which certain part of brain which regulate movement become non functional.

Further Achondrgenesis is s disease in which there is short limb or bone formation takes place in case of mammals as microtubules formation is become defect that leads to defect in vesicle formation and hence transport of proteins. This leads to defective cartilage and bone formation.

Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infection (PANDAS) is a group of disorders recently recognized as a clinical entity. Do you agree that PANDAS could be autoimmune? Why or why not? Why do you think the rate of Group A beta-hemolytic streptococcus (GABHS) is so high in young child? Would you warn parents about PANDAS if they have a child with strep throat? Why or why not?
Overview Most disorders or diseases are caused by a combination of environmental and genetic factors
Overview Most disorders or diseases are caused by a combination of environmental and genetic factors. However, some are caused solely by genetics. We are going to examine the latter in this discussion. You will be given the choice of a genetic disorder to research and write about, and then you will draw some conclusions based on this information. You should spend approximately 3 hours on this assignment. Instructions Choose one genetic disorder from the following list: Sickle cell anemia...

Another disease caused by a mutation in a single gene is Huntington’s disease (HD), an autosomal dominant condition. It is caused by mutations in a gene required for normal nerve cell function. The mutations cause abnormal proteins to be produced which “stick” together and accumulate in nerve cells, eventually interfering with normal cell operations. Suggest two ways you could treat the disease by targeting the translation step for the HD protein and justify why each approach might be effective.

McArdle Disease (glycogen storage disease 5) is caused by mutations in the phosphorylase enzyme in muscle. The symptoms are muscle cramps, pain, and fatigue during strenuous exercise. A) An ischemic exercise test is often used as part of the diagnostic process. This test measures lactate in the blood but is not always specific for McArdle. Explain why lactate might be a good diagnostic measurement for this disease and how its production is regulated in muscle in a normal person versus...
