Social science is study of human behaviour and its relationship to environment. The scientific study of human behaviour include how do people think and feel that is cognitive perspective but when it comes to social sciences it looks at behaviour and mental processes from an different angle which include social world and people we are surrounded by. The field of social sciences is very important because it looks at different environmental phenomena like who are in our surrounding, how a person behave in presence of others, whom we are connected to and by whom we are mostly influenced. Sociology is branch of social sciences which studies and classify human societies, it studies how entire group or a society works. Social psychology is another branch of social sciences which study how person’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours are influenced by real, imagined or implied presence of others. Social science also covers a wide spectrum of subjects, including economics, political science, , history, archaeology, anthropology, and law.

Different disciplines of social sciences are of different importance like Development studies is a multidisciplinary branch of the social sciences which addresses a range of social and economic issues related to developing or low-income countries, whereas Environmental planning explores the decision-making processes for managing relationships within and between human systems and natural systems, in order to manage these processes in an effective, transparent and equitable manner.

On one hand Economics and Management and business studies seeks to understand how individuals interact within the social structure, to address key questions about the production and exchange of goods and services and explores a wide range of aspects relating to the activities and management of business, such as strategic and operational management, organisational psychology, employment relations, marketing, accounting, finance and logistics. So on other hand Law focuses on the rules created by governments and people to ensure a more orderly society.

In general field of social science and its disciplines are very important for proper functioning of society.
