Advantages of using stakeholder approach in evaluation research-:
1) Diagnosis of consensus and differences in definition of program goals and objectives can be addressed.
2) Stakeholders will perceive that evaluation is explicitly recognizing their needs.
3) Overly intrustive or inappropriate evaluation procedures can be avoided.
4) Increase the quality
Disadvantage of using stakeholder approach in evaluation approach:-
1) Extra time is needed to train and build relationships that are empowering.
2) Participants' motivation, commitment vary
3) Front-end costs are high
4) Highly technical reports are not usually produced.
Advantages of using social sciences approach in evaltuation research:-
1) The social science approach is considered useful.
2) It helps us to understand extreme human behaviours.
3) This approach helps us in understanding how person's behaviour can get infuenced by other people.
Disadvantages of using social sciences approach in evaluation research:-
1) The social science approach underestimate influence of individual differences in behaviour.
2) It is ethnocentric
3) It is often conducted without the participant's knowledge.
Integrative approach would benefit by preventing misunderstanding and enhanced decision-making, effective governance.
