Explain the type of buying decision behaviour for the following situations:
SITUATION 1
Ahmad cuba memutuskan sama ada untuk membeli komputer riba Dell atau Surface Microsoft. Kedua-dua jenama adalah ketara berbeza dan mempunyai kelebihan unik mereka sendiri, jadi Ahmad mesti mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai model, atribut dan harga sebelum dia membuat keputusan.
Ahmad is trying to decide whether to buy a Dell Laptop or a Microsoft Surface. Both brands are significantly different and have their own unique advantages, so Ahmad must find out more about the models, attributes and prices before he makes his decision.

SITUATION 2
Maria mencari peralatan makan yang dia boleh gunakan untuk restoran beliau. Walaupun dia tidak biasa dengan mana-mana jenama, tetapi dia perlu memastikan bahawa apa yang dibeli mesti melengkapi tema restoran kelas atasan beliau atau ini boleh mengakibatkan penyaliran wang tunai yang sia-sia.
Maria is looking for silverware that she could use for her restaurant. Even though she is not familiar with any brands, she needs to make sure that the ones she will buy complements her upscale restaurant’s theme or this may end up draining her cash for nothing.
SITUATION 1
In the present situation, Ahmad wants to buy a laptop and is confused between Dell laptop and Microsoft surface. He is going to base his decision basis the attributes and prices of various model of both the brands. This depicts COMPLEX BUYING BEHAVIOUR of Ahmad. This is because he is going a make a helfty investment and this type of transaction does not happen more often. He is considering the alternatives in front of him and will not buy the laptop very easily. He may even spend some time in first understanding about the various features and will then make his buying decision.
SITUATION 2
In the present situation, Maria is looking to buy some silverware for her restaurant. Though she is not familiar with the brands available, she wants to compliment her upscale restaurant theme and does not want to spoil that. This type of buying behavior is HABITUAL BUYING BEHAVIOUR. This is because she wants to but the product (silverware) of the same design as of her present theme. She might not look into various brands available or the price and quality of products in the market. Her main criteria is that the product should match the current theme and accordingly she may buy the product from the same company from where she bought the other products for her restaurant.
