America is going into psychological trauma due to death,fear , isolation leading to depression , stress disorder and suicide .The suicides of two New York health care workers bears testimony to such cases.Lorna Breen,a top New York emergency doctor , died of mental illness .After few days, Bronx eemergency medical technician also killed himself.If proper steps are not taken ,people will be suffering from mental stress for many more years which would in turn harm the economy.. This devastates family, harms and kills people and causes economic devastation.Increase in unemployment rate due to the pandemic leads to more increase in suicide ..It has been estimated that due to thepandemic , 4000 people will die for the pandemic and 4,800 for drug overdose as taking drugs have increased due to the pandemic.Front line workers like health careproviders, grocery store workers , delivery peole are vulnerable due to   mental health problems .

Corona virus does discriminate ,because humans discriminate.People facing racism,sexism and inequalityare more likely to fall sick. Racial /ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities suffer from poor mental health outcomes due to many factors like high quality mental care services not accessible,cultural stigma of mental health care,discrimination as well as lacking awareness about mental health.We all are vulnerable to the pandemic but how well we are able to face it depends on pre existing conditions, not only medical, but political, economic, social ,racial etc.However most racial /ethnic groups have less mental health disorders than whites  . But mental illness in minorities lasts for long.Many studies have found that various forms of discrimination and racism influence mental health and well being.Gender discrimination leads to psychological disorder , anxiety, anger , depression etc.Gender assumed many roles in this pandemic .It is found that Cisgender are more likely to die from the virus.Racism incresaed the chances of becoming severely ill.
