General mills is quite active on social networking sites like Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr. However, the company can do much better on social media space. For example, only about 84k people like the Facebook page of General Mills. This is not a great number for a company of standard like General Mills. Even on Twitter, the company has close to only 90k followers.

However, the company has been branding itself well as a favourable employer through social media. Through Facebook and Linkedin careers pages, the company has been posting relevant data about job openings and videos on how working at General Mills feels like The company's Linkedin page has over 200k followers and updates are posted regularly on the page.

Overall, the company is marketng itself wall on socail media as a favourable employer. However, the company has to do a lot more in attracting customers to its social media pages.
