compare and contrast AdBlock for Chrome and AdBlock for IE(Clearly discuss the results Outline any limitations of the systems and include a Conclusion)
AdBlock for Google Chrome web browser software:
It is the best ad blocker extension for Chrome. It works
automatically for Chrome. To add it to Chrome, one has to simply
click the "Add to Chrome" button. You can backup and sync your
custom adblocking rules and whitelists across your Chrome profiles
on different devices. Adblock is available for Chrome at the Chrome
web store. There have been 350 million downloads of AdBlock for
Chrome. It is a widely used extension amongst Chrome users.
AdBlock for Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) web browser
software:
AdBlock is a JavaScript extension. IE does not support JavaScript
extensions. Hence, IE does not support AdBlock. However, AdBlock is
available for the Microsoft Edge web browser. Even Adblock Plus
extension is available for Explorer Internet and Microsoft Edge web
browser. Hence, Adblock for IE is not an option. IE requires binary
plugins. A user would have used a compiled language such as C++.
This effort would increase the development effort by at least
factor 10. Despite a lot of effort, you would only get a poor copy
of Adblock Plus and you will not be able to have the same-User
Interface (UI) integration in IE. Also, there is not any profit in
supporting an outdated web browser like Internet Explorer.
You could use AdBlock for Chrome, but cannot for IE. However, as an alternative though, you could use AdBlock Plus for Chrome, IE, and Microsoft Edge web browsers.
