The purpose of the executive summary is to provide information about the business to the readers. The investors have a right to know more about the business and its features. This information is important for investing money in any business. Investors can predict how much profit can be earned by a particular business. The potential of investment in any business can be defined if readers have enough information so that they can read and examine the entire plan.

Business leaders publish their reports to the target readers, potential customers, stakeholders and the decision-makers. it is important to note that a potential investor would prefer to read a report often is based upon the executive summary of these reports. These reports often serve as a medium of continuous communication with business leaders and investors.  These reports are based upon research and data analysis which gives the correct perspective and plan of the business leaders about their company.

The Executive Summary being the most important part of the entire business plan is for capturing potential investors's attention. It is also the synopsis of the business plan of a company which remains the most important facet of awareness for any potential investor and helps in getting noticed by the target audience.
