list and describe a 5 step process in
perception-checking.
Perception is the process with which we all are aware about the external world entities. There is five stages: stimulation, organization, evaluation, memory and active recall.
Stimulation: Stimulation is basically the sensation about the external world. These sensation are smell, taste, sound, our previous experience, consciousness, attention etc. By stimulation we perceive about external world entities.
Organization: Next step after the stimulation is organization. Organising our information that we get through stimulation into different categories on the basis of our experiences.
Evaluation: Next step after organising our thoughts is evaluation of these thoughts and information according to our knowledge. Like our previous experience about an rich person is that richs have attitude and they are arrogant if we meet or see with any rich person then we automatically evaluate him as arrogant according to our past experiences.
Memory: After stimulation, organization and evaluation the next step is storing these thoughts together. This stage or process is known as memorisation.
Active Recall: After storing all information we need to recall this as per our need from time to time. This is known as active recall like if we go on a foreign trip if we face lots of problems in that place then whenever we make another plan of trip then this experience comes in our mind and we thought we never go to that place again.
These are the five processes of perception.
