Among these methods archival study should be the best type of research which is suited for the topic area in and which follows a bottoms-up or top-down for theory verification or theory generation due to the following reasons:

(i) As it requires theory verification or generation, so it will require a literature survey on the theory and recent works (last five years can be considered).

(ii) Archival study will provide a clear conception about the related topic which can be used to discover an area which can be improved as the objective of research is innovation or improvement on the existing one.

(iii) Archival study will also be helpful to expand the topic area if the area is old and there is little scope for further improvement.
