Have you ever been through a change initiative (large or small) at your place of work? Please describe briefly how the process went. Do you think it could have been done differently, and if so, what would you have done? Offer suggestions to your classmates for ways that you might have approached their changes. If you do not work, you may use a change you experienced in another environment.
Yes, Once I have been through a change initiative at my work place. It was change in management. Although change was good but we had a fear related to our job position and responsibilities. We didn't have any idea what will happen to our responsibilities and how the company will operate now? Is there any major change that is going to be implemented in the near future? We were amid several questions. But, finally when the process of change over and new management took their responsibility, we felt relaxed and happy because there were lot of good things as a gift from our new management. We were inspired to work hard and were also told by our management to get good rewards for our job. Our new management took some initiative to improve our skills and held monthly meetings to boost our energy level. We came to realize that change is good and it should be there to recharge our energy level.
Every single person has his unique leadership style, no two persons
can be same. So in case of management, our old management has
different management style and new one has a different style.
Sometimes employees lack motivation and get bored with same style
of management, they need change. If a new management can offer a
lit bit change then what's wrong to implement it. We should welcome
it. If there were no change in management then we may suggest some
change to our old management that will work for the benefit of all.
Afterall changes at work place is a necessity for all.
