Write an essay's conclusion about JCPenney company.
J. C. Penney is an organization that is struggling in the current business market, though is fighting with every effort in order to restore its customer base and market performance. This has required the organization to consider its compensation strategies, which have included eliminating full-time employees in its headquarters, reducing full-time employees to part-time employees in retail stores, closing one of its call centers, and instilling hourly wages only for nearly all positions that previously also received commission on their work.
J. C. Penney is at risk of failure, and is compared to Sears due to J. C. Penney’s previous successes in the market place followed by a decline in profits and customer traffic. J.C. Penney has many opportunities to reduce costs, and these are advantages available to J. C. Penney that other organizations, especially in other industries, are not able to consider, such as an abundant number of potential employees that will work for minimum wage and flexible hours to suit business needs. With a large number of the workforce receiving low wages, this has offered J. C. Penney the opportunity to spend a considerable amount of its financial resources on obtaining a high cost executive team with the intentions of reimaging the brand, and restoring the J. C. Penney chain to its former market success.
