Why are nurses often called the "heart of the hospital"? Do you agree?
Nurses the "Heart of the Hospital"
Yes I completely agree with it.
As the nurses are like the backbone of the hospital as a major pillar. In fact a hospital can’t run without the nursing staff, even though. Nurses work around the clock with high level of concern, empathy & kindness. As per study it is seen that the patients survive just because of nurses in the health care organization. Thus you can imagine the role and importance of nursing staff in the hospital.
They are highly skilled & vital medical professionals required for the hospitals.
The nursing staff works for long hours without any break even they spend more time with patients than their personal life to meet all needs of the patient to fulfill the basic nutritional & emotional needs. It is real fact that nurses put their patients’ need on priority than their own one. Thus nurses make a huge impact on patient health and wellbeing in the healthcare system, they also make a harmony with the family of the patients to assist the therapy.
On the other hand the nurses are good listeners & very good decision makers and they have their high role in policy making and budget implementation as the economic concerns of the hospitals.
Hence by taking the above considerations it is well proved that the hospital couldn't run without the active involvement of the nurses. Thus they are the “heart of hospitals.”
