How, exactly, do preferential hiring/admissions policies seek to remedy past discrimination? Are such policies morally equivalent to "reverse discrimination"? What ethical arguments can be made both in favor of and against preferential treatment?
Discrimination is a main cause behind the backwardness of a community. There are different types of discrimination like caste discrimination, religious discrimination, color discrimination, gender discrimination, economic discrimination etc. The roots of the discrimination are prejudices, traditions, beliefs etc. But with the advancement of the civilization many changes have come in the society. However, to avoid discrimination some policies should be followed:
